Leonardo da Vinci: Brilliant design-engineer avant la lettre

Yesterday we saw an exhibition about the great Leonardo. It is amazing to see what da Vinci created five centuries ago. The exhibition shows many mechanical and technical projects. Leonardo da Vinci had a great sense of aesthetics. It is nice to see how he analyzed the problem, was thinking about functional requirements and how he tried different concepts to achieve the best solution. For example, he used water jets and air flow to design aerodynamic projectiles. Certainly, he was ahead of his time and some people even think he was able to look into the future!
You can visit the exhibition in Amsterdam until June 20!
